This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies adaptivaihub.com uses, why, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way, and this policy covers them too.

Your choice

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the GAID 2025, we only use cookies that are not strictly necessary after you agree. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies, or choose. Nothing optional is set until you decide.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics cookies we set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working.

Strictly necessary cookies

These make the website work and keep it secure. They do not need your consent and cannot be switched off in the banner.

• adaptiv_analytics_consent (Adaptiv AI): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every page. Kept for 6 months, after which we ask again.

• Sign-in cookies, names starting sb- (Adaptiv AI, through Supabase): keep Adaptiv AI staff signed in to the website's admin area. Set only for staff who sign in. Kept until sign-out or expiry.

• Your browser's local storage for the blog comment form: remembers the name and email you typed in a comment so you do not have to type them again. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

These help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are read and how people find us, so that we can improve it. We do not use them for advertising.

• adaptiv_browser_token (Adaptiv AI): a random identifier that lets us count returning visitors without counting the same browser twice. Kept for 12 months.

• adaptiv_session_id (Adaptiv AI): groups the pages you view in one visit. Deleted when you close your browser.

• adaptiv_user_id (Adaptiv AI): links your visits to an enquiry you have sent us, so that we understand what you were interested in. Kept for 12 months.

• _ga (Google Analytics): distinguishes visitors. Kept for up to 2 years.

• _ga_42T0SZC2TV (Google Analytics): keeps the state of a visit. Kept for up to 2 years.

Google Analytics is provided by Google, which processes this information on our behalf. We have set it not to use the data for advertising, and we keep analytics information for up to 14 months. Google's own use of information is described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Changes to this policy

When we add or change a cookie, we update this policy and the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we ask again through the banner.
