Stock and inventory

Know what is in stock, and where every batch went

Adaptiv AI replaces paper stock ledgers and end-of-month Excel counts with one live record of stock received, produced, moved, sold and returned. Every batch carries a code, so a recall or a complaint can be traced to the exact stores and customers that received it.

Where stock goes missing today

  • Stock received and issued is written in a ledger and typed into Excel later, if at all.

  • Warehouse, depot and van stock never quite agree with what sales says was sold.

  • Returns from failed deliveries go back on the shelf without a record.

  • When a batch has a problem, nobody can say which customers received it.

What we hear from operators

“There was a time that we... [had] to retrieve a particular batch of product because [there] were production error[s]... we don't know how many store[s] we... supply to.”
Finance officer, FMCG food manufacturer, Nigeria

How we fix it

  1. 01

    Map every movement

We trace where stock enters, moves and leaves, from raw materials to finished goods, depots, vans and returns.

  2. 02

    Record it where it happens

Storekeepers, production and drivers record movements on a phone or tablet, or the system reads them from orders and delivery notes.

  3. 03

    Code every batch

Each production batch gets a code that follows it through dispatch, so any product can be traced to where it went.

  4. 04

    Alert before it hurts

Reorder points and expiry dates raise alerts, and the owner sees stock value and slow movers on one screen.

What changes

Warehouse aisle with pallet racking
  • One stock figure everyone trusts, per warehouse, depot and van.

  • Recalls and complaints traced to the stores that received the batch.

  • Earlier warning on stock-outs and expiring stock.

  • Month-end stock counts become a check, not a rebuild.

Questions

What people ask us

Do we need barcodes or scanners?

Not to start. Most teams begin with simple phone entry against a product list. Barcodes can be added later where they save time.

Can it handle raw materials and finished goods?

Yes. Raw materials issued to production, finished goods received from production, and stock moved to depots and vans are tracked as one flow.

Will it replace our ERP?

Usually not. If your ERP already holds stock, we connect to it and fill the gaps around it, such as depots, vans and returns. We only replace a tool when it is the cause of the problem.

What if the internet connection is unreliable?

We design for it. Entries can be captured on a phone and synced when the connection returns, so the warehouse does not stop when the network does.

How do we start, and what does it cost?

Book a free discovery call. We find the workflow that costs you most, then a free scoping session gives you a written scope and price band within 48 hours. Prices depend on what is built, so we never quote before we have seen how the work runs.
